Today is a day we will never forget.  It is imprinted on all of our memories.  We all know where we were when we heard the news of the 911 tragedy.  It is hard to believe it has been 8 years since this happened but we need to remember, no matter how hard it is to do so.  I heard about a wonderful website that has flags to honor the hero’s of 911.  There are 2, on is the Flag of Honor, a tribute to those lost while working in the Twin Towers that day, the other is the Flag of Hero’s to honor the firefighters and paramedic’s who came to help that day.  The flags have the names of all of the vicitims imprinted on the stripes.   The proceeds from the sale of these beautiful flags goes to help the Flag of Honor/Flag of Hero’s fund.  You can read more about their mission by clicking on the link below.  Let us never forget the victims and families of this tragic day.

It’s hard to believe that eight years have passed since the tragic events of 9/11. While most of us have not forgotten what happened that day, we’ve probably allowed ourselves to fall back into the routine we had before 9/11, and in some cases, even believing that something like this would never happen to us again.

That’s why I think it’s important to remember this day as much as we can. Families of the thousands who lost their lives certainly have not forgotten. Neither have those who are currently fighting the war on terror in Iraq and Afghanistan, along with their families and friends. I’m sure none of us will ever forget the footage we saw on television in the hours, days, and weeks following the collapse of the World Trade Center.

No matter how we may feel about the state of things currently in our country (fewer jobs, difficult economy, the rising cost of health care), 9/11 did demonstrate that America can band together and stand firm against the evil that often plagues our world, and that we can still take pride in who we are and where we live.

My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the families who lost loved ones that day eight years ago, along with those who have lost loved ones while defending us through our armed forces. A big thank you goes to all of our troops and their families who sacrifice so much to help us preserve our freedom.

God Bless America!

This and all of your Beatles favorites are not digitally remastered!

If  you are a Beatles fan like me, today is your lucky day!!

The Beatles entire back catalogue has been digitally remastered and will be released today!

Some 45 years after the first wave of Beatlemania, the album charts are expected to be swamped with the 14 revamped albums this weekend, while the group is also expected to top the video game charts with the newly developed ‘Beatles Rock Band’.
Many local retail stores including Waterloo records and Borders Books have special things planned too!!  See the links below for more information!

The remastered Beatles songs are also available for the first time ever on ITunes, now our ipod’s can experience Beatlemania…yeah, yeah, yeah….yeah!!
