Will and his head inspector Olivia stopped by our Majic studios on Friday and dropped off all of the toys they have collected so far!!  Not only that but Will made a generous donation of $500 to help by so many more!!  It was so wonderful to see!! I have posted a few photo’s below to share with you!

Thanks again to everyone who has made a donation so far, we still have more to do, but know you have made a difference in the life of a family in need this holiday season!!  Thank you so much!!

An email from Michael Regert solved a mystery:

Thank you for sharing the Soldier’s Silent Night.  I had never heard this before (not sure why since it’s been out).  You mentioned people have trouble finding this song.  Here’s the official link:

Kim Stewart has been begging me to bring the kids by to check out her Christmas Light display.   I loaded up the family last night and we headed over after Kim’s remote at Twin Liquors.  Needless to say I was speechless!

You can bet I wasn’t leaving there without snapping a picture.

I DON’T HAVE THE HEART TO TELL HER THAT IT MIGHT BE A “TAD” OVER THE TOP . . ..

Wow, I can't wait to hear about her electric bill.

Every now and then we hit on a topic that is just so true.  Please take note and we’ll listen.

TALK TO YOUR MAN SO HE’LL LISTEN

Ever feel like you’re talking to a wall when you’re trying to say something important to your guy? Follow these tips from Women’s Health and he’ll tune in instead of out:

1. Talk side-by-side. If you’re broaching a sensitive subject, avoid doing it face-to-face. Looking him directly in the eye can make him feel threatened, so talk to him while you’re doing something side-by-side, like walking, driving or sitting on the sofa.

2. Cut to the chase. To ensure that he hangs on your every word, make your point as quickly as possible — grab his attention using direct statements and don’t drag your feet!

3. Let him know you need to vent. When a woman presents a man with a dilemma, he interprets it as a request to fix her problem, not simply to listen. Clue him in by letting him know what you need before you make your point.

4. Stroke his ego. If it seems like he ignores you every time you ask for a favor, you may need to butter him up more. Men are competitive and compliments help them feel important and superior. Positive reinforcement and a vote of confidence are key!

Stephen poses with 12-year-old Josh at the Samuels Diamonds Majic Of Christmas toy drop

This past weekend, I went to Samuels Diamonds in Round Rock, at Lafrontera, for one of our Majic Of Christmas toy donation drops.

I’ve been involved in every single toy drive we’ve had over the past eight years, but I’m always touched by the generosity of people who bring us new, unwrapped toys, whether it’s one toy or several bags full. But I’m especially moved when children take the lead in the giving.

One of the people I met on Saturday was 12-year-old Josh, who came with his mom to drop off some toys. In the course of our conversation, I asked if I could have a picture taken with them. Josh’s mom decided to let Josh take it with me, and told me it was his idea to make a donation to the toy drive.

On behalf of all of us at Majic, we salute you, Josh, and other kids like you, for being willing to help others who are in need. Check out our photo.

I was so excited to learn this week that Westbank Drycleaning, the only place I trust take my clothing to be cleaned was named one of “America’s Best Cleaners” for 2009!!!  This is an amazing achievement!  Did you know that there are over 30,000 dry-cleaners in the United States and out of that only 27 were chosen as “America’s Best”, and West Bank DryCleaning is one of them!!

This comes as no surprise to me, since Westbank Drycleaning makes everything I wear look like new.  They’re customer service is also wonderful!  They no me by name, carry my clothes out to the car for me and even have an umbrella handy if it’s raining!  They are also the only “Sanitone Certified Master Dycleaner” in Austin.  This is why when you take your clothing in to Westbank they come out looking  like new!  Think of it as a fine shampoo and conditioner for your clothes!

I recently had the opportunity to go behind the scenes at Westbank Drycleaning’s production facility!  I have always wanted to see what really goes on after I drop my clothing off to be cleaned.  William Charnes the President and CEO of Westbank welcomed me to what has to be the best organized and cleanest facility I have ever been to.  I was able to see the new washing machines, the way they get every wrinkle out of our clothes and the care they use when handling them.  If a button pops off one of your shirts they have a sewing machine to sew a new one on for you, that is the special way they treat every customer!  It was an amazing experience and I posted some pictures for you to see below!

Westbank Drycleaning is locally owned and operated and in business since 1993.  They love giving back to our community!  They have two special ways of doing this with their “Project School Bell” and “Prom Shop” project.  They are also helping Majic 95.5 with our “Majic of Christmas” Toy Drive this year!  Drop a new , unwrapped toy off at any one of their 8 locations and receive $5 off your dry- cleaning order!! Trust your clothing to Westbank Drycleaning during the holiday’s or any time of year!!

President and CEO Robert Charnes and his staff gave me a wonderful tour!

Men are from Google, Women are from Yahoo!

I’ve had a few requests for this, here it is in it’s original form (I edited it a little to keep it family friendly):
According to AttuWorld.com, it’s not difficult to make a woman happy. A man only needs to be:

1. a friend
2. a companion
3. a lover
4. a brother
5. a father
6. a master
7. a chef
8. an electrician
9. a carpenter
10. a plumber
11. a mechanic
12. a decorator
13. a stylist
14. a psychologist
15. a pest exterminator
16. a psychiatrist
17. a healer
18. a good listener
19. an organizer
20. a good father
21. very clean
22. sympathetic
23. athletic
24. warm
25. attentive
26. gallant
27. intelligent
28. funny
29. creative
30. tender
31. strong
32. understanding
33. tolerant
34. prudent
35. ambitious
36. capable
37. courageous
38. determined
39. true
40. dependable
41. passionate
42. compassionate

Without forgetting to:

43. give her compliments regularly
44. love shopping
45. be honest
46. be very rich
47. not stress her out
48. not look at other girls

And, at the same time:

49. give her lots of attention, but expect little yourself
50. give her lots of time, especially time for herself
51. give her lots of space, never worrying about where she goes

While understanding how important it is to:

52. never forget birthdays, anniversaries and arrangements she makes

On the other hand, here’s how to make a man happy:

1. Show up naked
2. Bring food
