I wondered how long this would take, but Yogi Bear is being made into an animated movie, in 3D, no less, to be released this coming December 17.

Yogi Bear will be voiced by Dan Aykroyd, while Justin Timberlake will be the voice of Boo-Boo. Anna Faris plays a filmmaker who travels to Jellystone Park to shoot a documentary, and runs across Yogi and Boo-Boo.

I had a chance to catch the trailer for the new movie “The Social Network” about the invention of Facebook.   In just over 2 minutes this movie trailer tells the story well.   The films release date is October 15th!  Check it out!

David de Rothschild, skipper of the boat Plastiki, sailed all the way from San Francisco to Sydney, Austrailia, a voyage that covered 8000 nautical miles over a four-month period.

This doesn’t sound particularly unusual, until you discover this was no ordinary boat: it was made almost entirely of plastic bottles, over 12,000 of them, to be exact! Rothschild wanted to increase awareness of the dangers of plastic waste, after reading a United Nations report that claimed plastic waste was posing a serious threat to the world’s oceans.

The 60-foot catamaran had to fight fierce Pacific storms, but docked in Sydney to the cheers of 100 people who gathered to see the unusual boat.

Very clever, indeed.

She may have come in second at the box office this weekend with her new movie “Salt” but it made over 36 million the first week!  Here is the diet and excercise program Angie used to get in shape for the film!  Good news….she got to eat CARBS!!

She can do no wrong!! I can't wait to see this film!

This weeks My Austin Perk is a fantastic one if you have sons or grandsons in the 6th , 7th or 8th grade!  The Enlightened Warrior Bootcamp is  led by director Nael Chavez. A White House Task Force recently released a report citing a class of chemicals in our food called endocrine-disrupting chemicals, or EDC’s, that are making us fat.

I am going to be heading to France, Italy, Austria, Germany and Slovakia. We are going to be based in Bratislava, Slovakia with a day trip to Hungary and a couple of days trip the the Polish Mountains.
