Does winning a Best Actress Oscar mean the end of your marriage?  I would hope that it’s not true, but with Kate Winslet, last year’s winner and Sandra Bullock, this year ’s winner both have marriage issues this week , it really makes you wonder!  These two are not the first to have these issues either.  A few years ago 2 time winner Hilary Swank ended her marriage and Reese Witherspoon did too!   Here is a interesting look at Best Actress winners and their luck in the romance department!

Curse or no curse, I do think that powerful women have a hard time being married when they seem to out shine their significant other’s.   It makes me mad and sad though, how do you feel  about it?

With a name like McCormick, you know I have to have a little bit of Irish in my blood!  Celebrations are always fun, and Austin has a fun tradition starting at 2pm!!  It happens at Cover 3 on Anderson Lane!! It’s billed as the Largest St. Patricks Day Event in Central Texas!!  The event last til 10pm this evening and children under 13 can come for free!!

Wow, what a weekend in Austin!  The weather was the star of the show I must say, especially for the 82nd Annual Zilker Park Kite Festival.  It looked like it was raining kites of all shapes and sizes all day long!  It really looked like everyone in Austin was there!  Thanks to everyone who stopped by our Majic 95.5 tent!  We loved seeing all of you!  Let’s do it again next year!

If you are looking for a creative outlet , that’s new and fun, I have just the place for you to go!  It’s called “Painting With A Twist“!  I went with a friend last week and had so much fun!  You, a friend or a group of friends come in and paint!  I felt like I was in 4th grade again!  The entire staff is fantastic!  You get your paint, a canvas and instruction and you, yes you can turn out your own masterpiece.  The class takes about 3 hours and you can choose the time and theme on their website!   We chose Van Gogh and well as you can see for yourself the entire class did a fantatic job! 

We had such a great time! Look for me in the middle. Van Gogh would be proud!

Last but not least it’s finally time to Spring forward!!  This weekend begins daylight savings time and while I am not a fan of losing that extra hour of sleep, but I am a fan of having more daylight at the end of the day!!  It’s also a sign that warmer weather and great times are ahead!!

For the month of February Fox 7’s Loriana Hernandez and I went to CTC,Competative Training Center!  This workout was so effective for me.  No matter how much I think I am in shape I know I can always push further and that is what this workout did for me!  They have a free class this Saturday for ladies only!  It’s a 90 minute class and it begins at 9am!  Find out more on CTC’s website and get a complete list of all of the places you can Get Fit For Free in Austin here!
